Pandemic Panda

いまだ続くコロナ禍の影響がまだ続いているので、大半の人は何らかの形で日々の暮らしの変化を余儀なくされてと思います。特に旅行及びエンタメ業界は他よりも厳しい影響を受けているに違いありません。

東京に引っ越してから上野動物園に行きたいと思っていますがコロナのせいで延期しています。入園者が激減にに伴い動物園の収入も減少していますが、動物達の世話は、以前と同じであって欲しいと願います。新生活にパンダさんの物乞いは可哀想すぎると思います。

備考: これは社会評論と軽い冗談のつもりで書いたものです。写真に写ってるのは本物のパンダではありません。たまたま、先週末に見かけたのです。

With the corona virus pandemic still with us, I think almost everyone has had to make adjustments in one way or another in their daily routine. Some, like those in the travel and entertainment industries, have had to deal with tougher consequences than others.

Since I moved to Tokyo, I have been wanting to visit the Ueno Zoo but haven’t yet because of the virus. I hope the animals are being well treated as the admissions revenue decreases drastically. The last thing I want to see as part of the new normal is a poor pathetic panda panhandling to make ends meet.
